Restoration, rebuilding and retrofitting of a 300 year old structure, served as a Madam (place to stay for the disciples of Sri Ramakrishna ), in Rameswaram. The old building had Lime, rubble stone, timber and fired bricks as construction material.

The restoration and rebuilding is done in the same materials as before, with addition of steel to replace wood and cement added to lime for masonry.

Traditionally done Madras terrace roofing with lime mortar, with walls plastered in lime, stone pillars for courtyard.
