This house was designed by a different architect initially: a single bedroom, 2-storey structure for one person. 2 bedrooms and a bathroom were added to this structure for the client to accommodate his new family.
The existing living room was transformed into a circulation hub, the kitchen was extended into a semi-open one with a bar counter. The mangalore tile-covered verandah leading to the living hub will be a shaded family hangout space.
A reinforced concrete slab terrace between the two bedrooms presents a scenic view of the night sky. The ant channel around the house prevents insects from entering the house. The compact new bathroom with its low ceiling was finished with blue oxide flooring and Kadappa shelf
